Anderson wins award at E-MRS 2016

Kevin Anderson won a “Best Student Presentation Award” at the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) 2016 fall meeting at Warsaw University of Technology in September. His talk, Novel composites produced through in-situ partial reduction and the effect of microstructure on mechanical properties, was given in the symposium “Advanced Composite Materials: Production, Testing, Applications.” His advisor is Helen Chan.

The awards ceremony was projected to attendees on a large-format display.

After the ceremony, Anderson was able to take in some sightseeing in Warsaw Old Town, the oldest part of Poland’s capital city, and the Old Town Market Place.
