Scenes from Graz

Helen Chan, Fulbright Austria-Graz University of Technology Visiting Professor, attended orientation with her fellow scholars in Vienna. She will spend the next semester researching and teaching fast and slow grain boundaries in alumina at the Institute for Electron Microscopy and Nanoanalysis at Graz University of Technology & Graz Centre for Electron Microscopy.

Chan joined 28 other Fulbright students and scholars during orientation week, which included lectures and discussions in Fulbright Austria’s Q21 offices, a walking tour of the Vienna’s Ringstrasse, a reception at the home of U.S. Embassy Vienna Deputy Chief of Mission Eugene Young, and a field trip to the Stift Klosterneuburg.
