Scenes from Florence

Zoe Rosenberg ’18, a junior in materials science, is studying at Syracuse University in Florence, Italy for a study abroad semester. Her advisor is Helen Chan.

Zoe in enrolled in several art courses. “I am taking classes in weaving, silk screening, drawing, art history, and Italian,” she says. “I am living in a homestay and having a great time!”

The homestay experience allows students to live in rooms with local families, known as host families. Homestays allow students to immerse themselves in the culture and become familiar with local lifestyles and customs.
